Level One Curriculum

This material is taught to white, gold, and blue sash students.


Qigong Exercises

Qigong exercises that help with everyday movements and increase strength and balance. All exercises are done while standing, however they can be modified for students who participate while sitting.

3 Whips

This exercise promotes core rotational flexibility and balance. 

Lymph Swing

A standing exercise that increases leg strength, balance, and endurance

Meridian Twist

An exercise that improves shoulder mobility, intentional gaze, and stretches  many meridians.

Rulers

A slow exercise that incorporates coordinating breath, movement, and gaze. 


Tai Chi

Tai Chi combines intentional movement and breath control and is a form of moving meditation.

Yang Tai Chi 64

The world's most popular Tai Chi style. It has slow, graceful movements that help to improve health, relaxation and long-term movement. Our version has 38 movements that combined into 64 postures to create a beautiful form. Concepts found in Tai Chi rulers are incorporated. This form is taught in six sections, about one a month.

15 Tai Chi Applications

Tai Chi is a martial art. Students learn 15 applications that highlight the martial concepts found in Tai Chi.

Push Hands

A physical 'listening' exercise that provides recognition of your and your opponents balance.

Pulls on the clock

A Push Hands advancement that trains knowledge of both your and your opponent's balance and timing.
